MIER PRODUCTS - THEN AND NOW

How did Mier Products, Inc. ascend to the top of the list of manufacturers fabricating metal enclosures and surveillance system lock-boxes? How did Mier become a leader in driveway security systems? Read on to find out!

The President and Founder of Mier Products, Robert Hullinger, began his career in manufacturing in 1966 when he began working for B-W Manufacturers, Inc. It was during his 23-year career with B-W that "Bob" realized the incredible need for and opportunities in metal enclosures AND the Drive-Alert Driveway Alarm System. Bob played a vital role in perfecting the metal fabrication processes for B-W. Consequently, when B-W was purchased by a large conglomerate, Bob was poised to begin Mier Products, Inc.

In 1989 Mier opened her doors for business and hit the ground running. Since that time, Mier has always strived to continually make changes based on distributor, installing-dealer, and customer feedback in an ongoing effort to exceed customer expectations. One example of this is the development of a standard line of enclosures which are incredibly versatile. This allows our distributors to drastically reduce the number of instrument boxes they once had to inventory. Another example is the consolidation of many siren boxes of similar sizes to a "fits-all" size, and then adding brackets to allow the easy insertion of speakers and sirens. Breakthroughs like these made Mier Products the industry's leading metal fabricator of standard-line enclosures. Mier has added products such as the VCR, DVR, and DVD Lock-Boxes, Gas Meter Boxes, and the ChemGuard Box to its standard-line.

In addition to the standard-line enclosures sold to the security industry, Mier Products specializes in custom, or OEM, enclosures and metal fabrication. The efficiencies and methods which are in place for standard-line production are used for all of Mier's custom work. As a result, Mier is able to be very competitive in both quality and price! When customers give Mier Products a chance to quote their needs, they are very happy with the results.

In 1989, Mier also purchased the production rights to the Drive-Alert Driveway Alarm. Since that time, we have perfected the original DA-500 system and have added the upgraded DA-503 and the DA-504. Therefore, Mier is able to offer customers new optional features and easier installation when looking at the Drive-Alert Driveway Alarm Series.
